By completing and submitting the event booking form, or paying the full price, you agree to the following terms and conditions of booking.
Booking forms: You must submit a event booking form online in order for your booking to go ahead.
The booking form must be filled in by the person who will be attending the event.
Payments received without a booking form will result in a reserved place, but no confirmation will be sent until a booking form has been submitted.
We will contact you to confirm your booking once we have received your full payment and event booking form. We aim to email all those placing online bookings within three working days of receiving their payment.
We will do our best to indicate on the webpage immediately the event is fully booked. If however, the event is already full when we receive your booking, we will contact you and refund any payment you have made in full
Please note that a booking fee is included in every event place purchase. The booking fee of £20 is non-refundable, except as described below, under the headings COOLING OFF and CANCELLATION BY US.
You are entitled to a seven day 'cooling off' period following your booking to enable you to cancel if you wish. During this time you may contact us to let us know that you do not wish to continue with your booking, and we will refund your payment in full. The following conditions apply:
The cooling off period ends at 5pm on the seventh day following your booking. If you booked before 5pm, or at midnight on the same day if you placed your booking between 5pm and midnight UNLESS the event starts before this time, in which case the cooling-off period ends at the planned start time of the event.
Your booking is considered to have commenced when you make your payment, or submit a booking form, whichever is the first.
Cancellation during the cooling off period should be made by emailing cancellation@englishmartialarts.com
We reserve the right to cancel any event at our discretion. Reasons for cancellation might include (but are not limited to) events where numbers are insufficient or a trainer is indisposed. If we cancel an event your payment including the booking fee will be refunded in full.
We reserve the right to postpone any event at our discretion. If we postpone a event we will refund your payment (including the booking fee) in full or you may choose to keep your place on the event at the re-assigned start date.
Once your cooling off period has ended, if you are unable to attend the event and let us know no later than 21 days before the start date of the event, we will refund your payment, minus the non-refundable deposit of £20. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within 21 days of the start date of the event.
EMAA staff may occasionally take photographs during events. We reserve the right to use these photographs for publicity purposes. In each instance, we will endeavour to inform you first, however, if you do not wish photographs of yourself to be used for this purpose, please inform the EMAA office at the start of your event.
No photography of any sort will be allowed by event participants without prior written permission of the EMAA
The EMAA cannot be held liable for the actions of third parties, and therefore excludes to the fullest extent possible by law, any liability arising from a breach of this section headed VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY by any party.
The EMAA and instructors of its events reserve the right to exclude any participants without warning at any time during the event. In the event of this occuring no refunds will be applicable.
The EMAA reserves the right to substitute any of the advertised instructors with an instructor of a similar level of ability.
